“I could tell I was somewhat less than the ideal client by the way other realtors did not treat me as a serious potential buyer. Who could blame them, with so many obstacles to overcome for me to actually get financed? When I met Bobbie, I explained my situation and for the first time, I was not treated like I was just there wasting time. She took an active interest in my uniquely challenging set of circumstances. With her vast knowledge of veteranÿs benefits offered by the state of Florida, she was able to point out benefits that I, and obviously other realtors were unaware of. This made the obstacles I was facing workable. I never dreamed I would be able to find a house I love, and could afford as well. Who would have thought my guardian angle would manifest itÿs self in the form of a realtor, named Bobbie Housand.

I had just moved here from Texas where I was renting an apartment for $920.00 a month. I was tired of spending so much money for rent with nothing to show for it. I desperately wanted someplace stable where I would not have to worry about the rent increasing every time the lease was up. I drove by a ?for saleÿ sign in front of an older house that looked like it needed some work. I remember hoping that there would be enough wrong with it the seller might be willing to owner finance it since my credit left much to be desired. My expectations were pretty low at this point because of my prior experiences. I called the number on the sign and thatÿs when I met Bobbie. She could tell that I was less than thrilled with the house, but desperately needing to find something. She sent me an email with about 50 listing that were in my price range. I went through them and narrowed it down to 20. At the time, my vehicle was broke down and Bobbie personally picked me and my mother up and drove us around to look at all of those houses. After finding the house that was a perfect fit, she called creditors to work out payment arrangements on some old accounts. Bobbie also introduced me to a really great lender, Billi Hoover with Access Mortgage, who also called creditors and was able to negotiate thousands of dollars off old accounts. Bobbie wrote a full page letter along with the bid for the house to explain my particular situation. After the bid was accepted, she made three extra trips to the house so we could look at it because we were so excited. Knowing that I was a first time home buyer, she did the walkthrough with me and pointed out things I would have never notice. Even after we moved in, she followed up with the builder to make sure we got our appliances.

Dear Bobbie, I wanted to drop you a note to let you know about our experience with Emerald Dunes Real Estate.

First, let me tell you, we thought we must be the pickiest people around. We had doubts about even finding a home because we had walked away from two closings in the six months prior to calling your office. We had worked with another realtor in town as well as working with a builder. Both of these were terrible experiences.

When we called your office, someone took down the information on what we were looking for and within an hour, we had received a call back from Kurt Buchanan and had a list of homes that we could go ´look at on our own.¡ It was clear that Kurt and everyone at your agency were interested in helping us find a home, not about how much they were going to make on what we bought. What a refreshing change!

We continued to work with Kurt Buchanan and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a home. If you think you are too picky or that someone ´just wouldnÿt understand¡ the kind of neighborhood you are looking for, then you are wrong. Kurt’s your man!

Being on a very tight time schedule, we even looked at 28 homes in one day. Kurt had a genuine smile on his face the whole day. When we stopped and had lunch, it was clear that Kurt was committed to doing whatever it would take to help us find just the right home in the neighborhood that was right for us. He also knew by lunch time, just what we were looking for.

Kurt communicated with us daily many times several times a day. I felt that I could ask Kurt anything without sounding dumb about the process and I knew he would get the answer if he did already have it. We learned about short sales and how something like that might work for us.

Everyone at your office was helpful and pleasant and I appreciated the fact that any time I called the office or Kurt, I felt I was important and not just another person looking for a house.

We love our new home and our neighborhood. We feel as though Kurt will always be a friend and if or when we decide to sell, weÿll be working with Kurt and Emerald Dunes Real Estate again.
